      ==========YAMAHA USB-MIDI Driver V1.22 for Windows Me/98/98SE ==========

Thank you for purchasing Yamaha products. 
This is the latest version of the driver software required to use 
Yamaha USB-MIDI devices in a Windows Me/98/98SE environment. 
Always follow the procedure as described below when executing the installation. 

This document describes both how to install the driver and how to update the driver.


[Installing the driver on WindowsMe]

1. With the usb device disconnected from the PC, copy the downloaded driver
 files into any folder.

2. Quit other applications and close unnecessary windows.

3. Disconnect all other USB devices from your PC.

4. Connect the usb device and turn the power on.

5. The "Add New Hardware Wizard" will begin.
Check the radio button to the left of "Specify the location of the driver(Advanced)" 
and then click "Next".

6. Check the "Specify a locaion:" and click "Browse..."

7. Select the folder into which you copied the downloaded driver files in step 1 and
click "OK". 

8. Click "Next". When the system detects the driver, "YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver" is listed.
Then click "Next".

9. When copying is done, the message "Windows has finished installing 
the new hardware device." will appear. Press "Finish" and quit the Wizard. 

Then driver has been installed.


[Installing the driver on Windows98/98SE]

1. With the usb device disconnected from the PC, copy the downloaded driver
 files into any folder.

2. Quit other applications and close unnecessary windows.

3. Disconnect all other USB devices from your PC.

4. Connect the usb device and turn the power on.

5. The "Add New Hardware Wizard" will begin. Click "Next".

6. Check the radio button to the left of "Search for the best driver for your device(Recommended)"
and then click "Next".

7. Check the "Specify a locaion:" and click "Browse..."

8. Select the folder into which you copied the downloaded driver files in step 1 and
click "OK". 

9. Click "Next". When the system detects the driver, "YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver" is listed.
Then click "Next".

10. When copying is done, the message "Windows has finished installing 
the new hardware device." will appear. Press "Finish" and quit the Wizard. 

Then driver has been installed.



[Updating the driver on WindowsMe]

1. Connect the USB-MIDI device and make sure it works.

2. Click the "Device Manager" tab in "Start/Control Panel/System." 
Select "YAMAHA USB MIDI DRIVER" listed in the "Sound, video and game controllers." 

3. Click the right button of your mouse and select "Properties..."

4. Select the "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver..."

5. The "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" will begin.
Check the radio button to the left of "Specify the location of the driver(Advanced)" 
and then click "Next".

6. Check the "Specify a locaion:" and click "Browse..."

7. Select the folder into which you copied the downloaded driver files in step 1 and
click "OK". 

8. Click "Next". When the system detects the driver, "YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver" is listed.
Then click "Next".

9. When copying is done, the message "Windows has finished installing 
the new hardware device." will appear. Press "Finish" and quit the Wizard. 

Then driver has been updated.



[Updating the driver on Windows98/98SE]

1. Connect the USB-MIDI device and make sure it works.

2. Click the "Device Manager" tab in "Start/Control Panel/System." 
Select "YAMAHA USB MIDI DRIVER" listed in the "Sound, video and game controllers." 

3. Click the right button of your mouse and select "Properties..."

4. Select the "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver..."

5. The "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" will begin. Click "Next".

6. Check the radio button to the left of "Search for the best driver for your device(Recommended)"
and then click "Next".

7. Check the "Specify a locaion:" and click "Browse..."

8. Select the folder into which you copied the downloaded driver files in step 1 and
click "OK". 

9. Click "Next". When the system detects the driver, "YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver" is listed.
Then click "Next".

Then driver has been updated.

of charge. Yamaha does not assume any responsibility for the results and effects that may 
occur when using this driver.
